Mike Geary’s The Truth About Six Pack Abs is an amazing program. I LOVE THIS BOOK!! It is easy to read, and packed FULL of nutrition information, meal plans, and workouts. It was FOUNDATIONAL for me in my quest for six-pack Abs. I never even considered it a possibility to have a six-pack until Mike’s explanation of exactly how to do it! Mike really helped me to understand the “Why” behind doing the multi-joint movements and intervals, and the importance of nutrition. I had always been told not to skip meals… “Good fats” are okay to eat, etc…but never REALLY believed it. How could that be? It wasn’t until I read Mike’s book that I really began to understand WHY. He really puts it in a way that is easy to understand. I don’t know how to explain it, but after reading the book, it was like a light bulb went on and I felt like I had the EXACT plan of how to get the Abs!
Mike is so easy to read—you will whip through the whole thing and have such an understanding of your metabolism and how to maximize it for fat burning. He explains how to get those coveted six pack abs--How to eat and work out to get them. (And it’s not about the crunches or abs-specific exercises!!) This book really got me started on my whole quest to get lean.
Mike lists all the important multi-joint exercises you should be performing to get lean and ripped. He gives sample training programs for beginner, intermediate, and advanced fitness levels, along with detailed explanations of how to perform the exercises, and pictures showing the proper way to do each one.
I especially love the section titled “My Advanced Secret Weapon Exercises.” These are awesome, fat-blasting exercises, and I try to incorporate 1 or 2 of them in each of my workouts.
I have told all my friends about The Truth About Six-Pack Abs. I think everyone should have this program in their fitness library!
